The brief In 2019, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO), now Directorate-General for International Partnerships, created the first Joint Synthesis Report offering a unique insight into how the EU and its Member States are supporting the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in developing countries through development cooperation activities.

Our proposal To support the Commission on this first edition of the report targeted at the general public, we proposed a simple but attractive look and feel and layout with highlighted content, quotes, graphics and infographics. We also supported its release with a social media campaign thanks to text and graphical elements of the report which could be used as independent stories to further expand the reach to new audiences.

We’re proud of the way the report was received, which demonstrated to the public the progress made by the EU and how Member States collectively contributed to the implementation of all SDGs in developing regions of the world.
