How to put the spotlight on pressing issues?
The Institute of European Democrats’ virtual events series

The brief

After a successful series of virtual events in 2020, the Institute of European Democrats (IED) sought to transition to a hybrid approach for their 2021 activities, with a mix of online and on-site talks. In particular, the IED had two flagship events in Brussels on a busy agenda: the premiere of their film ‘Hydrogen – Reconnecting Europe’ and the hybrid conference ‘Digital Democracy – No apps, no say?’ on digital participation of senior citizens.

Our proposal

EU-turn supported the IED for the communication and logistics of both events. To create interest in each event, we developed a set of eye-catching visual toolbox (visuals, graphic elements for online participants), as well as a social media and emailing campaign. Our full-service event management team ensured a smooth flow of all the different activities (screening, panel discussion, Q&A with the on-site and remote audience) to make it a meaningful experience for all participants.

We’re proud of

the stimulating conversations generated by these events which put the spotlight on some of Europe’s future most pressing issues.
